At the end of the course you will:
- Be able to describe the key elements in effective problem solving and decision making
- Know how to select and use practical tools for defining, clarifying and solving problems
- Be able to draw on a range of interpersonal skills and techniques to promote effective group problem solving and decision making
- Know how to respond to problems, gather and process information, make judgements about issues and take action.
- Understand the nature of different personal styles and their implications for the various stages of the decision making process.
This unit can be taken to gain additional credits by passing a criteria based assignment. The credits gained can to be used towards a further ILM Level 3 qualification.
- If you have between 4 and 12 credits at level 3 you have an Award.
- Between 13 and 36 credits at level 3 gains you a Certificate.
- 37 credits or over gains you a Diploma at level 3.
Most people undertaking the accredited element of this course will already be registered with ILM.

The course runs from 9:30am through to 12:30pm across two sessions.
You will learn in a relaxed environment with a small group of people. A specialist tutor will guide and encourage you through all the learning necessary to develop your skills and questions are always welcome.
