Course overview
Brilliant Supervisors inspire their teams through the use of their interpersonal and communication skills, building relationships and trust and motivating others towards the goals of the organisation. By setting an example through their own performance and behaviour, great Supervisor are also leaders who guide their teams to achieve more and to develop themselves, always working towards continuous improvement.
Brilliant Supervisors encourage their teams through constructive feedback and clear direction and when difficulties arise, they manage these skilfully to reach positive collaborative outcomes. They work with their teams effectively at each stage of team development and adapt their own style to suit the needs of the situation and the individuals and teams as required.
This course is ideal for those with some experience in the supervisory role who are keen to examine and develop their own personal leadership style and to enhance the skills they need to support their teams through team development and changes in the workplace. It focuses on building team and individual relationships and the importance of understanding the unique strengths that different team members bring towards achieving the outcomes of the business.
You’ll develop supervision strategies to enable you to communicate feedback constructively, manage conflict and assert yourself appropriately when required. When team relationship difficulties arise, you will be confident to navigate these effectively and to influence the whole team culture towards a problem solving, goal- orientated working environment.
