If you've attended our Excel Intermediate course and/or Excel Advanced Level 1 course and need more knowledge on the techniques and functions required to manipulate and summarise data, then this is the course for you.
This Excel Advanced Level 2 course is ideal for:
- Professionals who are responsible for analysing data to guide business decisions
- Team members who are preparing data for analysis or cross-checking data sources to ensure consistency
- Anyone who needs to analyse data logs from production machines or report on data exported from other systems
- Individuals preparing for new jobs or roles that require data analysis skills such as finance managers, project managers and administrators and data analysts
This course does not lead to a formal qualification or accreditation, but upon successful completion, you will receive a Certificate of Attendance from Jarrold Training.
This certificate demonstrates your commitment to professional development and confirms that you have completed an advanced level course in Microsoft Excel - a valuable asset for your CV and workplace skillset.
By the end of this course, you’ll be able to:
- Implement What If analysis to cover all eventualities
- Summarise data stored dissimilar data layouts
- Import and manipulate data from other systems
- Summarise data using formulas and pivot tables
- Visualise the summary data for efficient reporting and decision making
The course runs from 9:30am through to 4:30pm.
You will learn in a relaxed environment with a small group of people. A specialist tutor will guide and encourage you through all the learning necessary to develop your skills and questions are always welcome.

Your trainer will guide and support you throughout the training day, so please feel free to ask questions at any time - they’re always happy to help. Our friendly team is also on hand to ensure your learning experience is smooth and enjoyable from start to finish.
While there is no formal exam, the course includes plenty of hands-on exercises and revision opportunities to reinforce what you’ve learned. Additional support is available after the course, with 90 days of post-course help should you need it. Please contact us if you have any questions.
Do I need to have taken the Excel Advanced Level 1 course first?
Not necessarily, although it is an advantage. If you plan to do both of our advanced courses it will be easier to do them in order. You do need to have attended at least our Excel Intermediate course and be confident with that content before attending this course. If you're not sure - contact us and we can help guide you.
Do I need to bring a laptop?
For in-person courses, all equipment is provided. For online delivery, you’ll need a computer with internet access and Excel installed.
Who is this Excel Advanced Level 2 course suitable for?
If you're a regular and confident user of Excel and now need to handle larger or more varied datasets, then this course is ideal for you.
Is this course suitable for Mac users?
Yes, although Excel looks slightly different on Mac, most functions covered in the course are the same. Please let us know in advance if you’re using a Mac so we can tailor support where needed.
