This course does not lead to a formal qualification or accreditation, but upon successful completion, you will receive a Certificate of Attendance from Jarrold Training.

By the end of this course, you’ll be able to:

• Confidently use mathematical operators for add, subtract, multiply and divide, including combining these in a single calculation
• Calculate and use percentages
• Use common functions to simplify calculations
• Format and produce professional looking spreadsheets for efficient administration across finance, sales and many other parts of the business

The course runs from 9:30am through to 4:30pm.

You will learn in a relaxed environment with a small group of people. A specialist tutor will guide and encourage you through all the learning necessary to develop your skills and questions are always welcome.

Do I need to be confident at maths to take the Excel Introduction course?

No. We go through all the basic calculations (including percentages) and combining them when necessary. We also cover common built-in functions to simplify calculations for large (and small) blocks of data.

Do I need to bring a laptop?

For in-person courses, all equipment is provided. For online delivery, you’ll need a computer with internet access and Excel installed.

Who is this Excel Introduction course suitable for?

If you've never used Excel before or you're self taught and planning to take Excel further, then this course is ideal for you.

Is this course suitable for Mac users?

Yes, although Excel looks slightly different on Mac, most functions covered in the course are the same. Please let us know in advance if you’re using a Mac so we can tailor support where needed.
