This course is suitable for current or aspiring frontline managers to develop their leadership skills and learn how to balance the roles and responsibilities of a manager.
The ILM Level 3 qualification has been specially designed to give practising or aspiring first line managers a solid foundation in their formal development as a manager. The ILM Level 3 Award in Leadership & Management is a concise qualification which gives an introduction to the basic skills, knowledge, and understanding required by today's first line manager.
ILM Level 3 Units:
- 8600-300 - Solving Problems & Making Decision - 2 credits
- 8600-309 - Understand How to Establish an Effective Team - 1 credit
- 8600-319 - Understanding Organising and Delegating in the Workplace - 1 credit
- 8600-323 - Understanding Performance Management - 2 credits
After the course has finished you will be required to complete four assignments. These four assignments are assessed and if you pass, you will gain an ILM Level 3 Award in Leadership and Management. This is a qualification which sits within the Qualification and Curriculum Framework (QCF). We assess the essays ourselves at Jarrold Training and you will have direct contact with, and support from, our ILM lead assessor.
The essays have a word count of 1,200 to 1,500 words and we set a deadline date of 3 months after you finish the course. You need to score a minimum of 50% in each section against a measurable criteria. If you are referred after a formal submission you can submit the essays again after making changes based around specific feedback. We are absolutely here to help you on your ILM journey and there is plenty of support available from the ILM as well.
Upon successfully completing all the assignments, you will be awarded your ILM Level 3 Award in Leadership & Management.
This course is held at our Training Centres. The course duration is six and a half days.
You will learn in a relaxed environment with a small group of people. A specialist tutor will guide and encourage you through all the learning necessary to develop your skills and questions are always welcome.
