The APM Project Management Qualification is aimed at those wishing to achieve a broad level of project management knowledge sufficient to participate in projects from individual assignments through to large capital projects.
A good experience of project management and / or the attendance of the APM Project Fundamentals Qualification training is highly recommended.
Using a blend of knowledge sharing, practical application through case study examples, participate discussions and sample examination questions this course will address the tools, techniques and the soft skills required for successfully managing projects. Further, this approach to learning will then prepare you for the APM Project Management qualification examination.
The APM PMQ (International Project Management Association (IPMA) Level D) is an internationally recognised qualification awarded by the Association for Project Management, the UK's leading association for project management professionals.
The focus of this course is to provide you with a level of knowledge that will enhance their ability to manage projects and give you a professional qualification that is transferable across any industry and sector.

APM PMQ exam - Taken online at a date / time you choose. NOTE: details of how to book yourself onto the exam will be sent to you on the first day of training.
It is recommended that the online exam is taken within 14 days of the end of the course
There are two examination routes for the qualification:
- A three-hour paper with an additional 15 minutes reading time at the start where candidates must answer ten from sixteen questions or
- If you are a PRINCE2® Practitioner you will take a two-hour paper with an additional 10 minutes reading time at the start that recognises prior learning. In this paper you must answer six from ten questions. Please let us know if this applies to you.
Online exam requirements:
Results are received within 6-8 weeks. Learners are notified that their results are available on the APM candidate portal by email. Upon successful completion, candidates will receive a PDF certificate and have access to a downloadable digital badge which can be used as a sign of success.
After successful completion you are awarded the APM Project Management Qualification which is SCQF Level 7 and does not expire. APM members are encouraged to participate in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities to keep their knowledge up to date and relevant.
The course runs from 9:00am through to 5:00pm everyday.
You will learn in a relaxed environment with a small group of people. A specialist tutor will guide and encourage you through all the learning necessary to develop your skills and questions are always welcome.
