Units Covered: NG1, NCC1 & NCC2.
The National Construction Certificate is designed for supervisors and managers within the construction industry and is designed to provide a sound breadth of underpinning knowledge that enables them to discharge more effectively their duties with respect to health and safety in construction activities.
The course is also likely to prove useful for those concerned with the management of buildings who may need to ensure that contractors are working safely. The qualification is also appropriate for supervisors and managers working in other industries such as utilities, and even broadcasting, where temporary workplaces are a feature of their activities.
The NEBOSH National Construction Certificate is accredited at Level 3 within the National Qualification Framework and also meets the academic requirements of IOSH for Technician membership (TechIOSH). The qualification is also accepted by the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (llRSM) for associate membership.
For this qualification you should plan your study around 99 taught hours and approximately 55 hours of private study and background reading. Please refer to the full NEBOSH Syllabus Guide for more details.
If you need date flexibility you can pick a different NG1 date to combine with NCC1 & 2. See the full NEBOSH course list for more details.
We offer different course structures. Please check individual session dates for more details or call us on 01603 677107.
Is this course right for you?
There are no pre-requisites to attend this course. However, it is advantageous that candidates wishing to obtain the NEBOSH National Construction Certificate do have an understanding of the basic practical aspects of the construction industry.
It should also be noted that the practical assessment requires students to undertake an inspection of a construction workplace and to prepare an appropriate report.
All unit examinations and the practical assessment must be taken / answered in English only. Therefore to participate in this course, delegates will be required to read, write, speak and understand English. For example, delegates should be able to read and understand conversational and business English.
NEBOSH recommends that delegates undertaking this qualification should reach a minimum standard of English equivalent to an International English Language Testing System score of 6.0 or higher in IELTS tests.

It is the delegate’s responsibility to submit their written assessment within the timescale, any assessments not returned by the deadline will result in the delegate failing this section of the course.

Good group bonding, which encourages discussion and sharing of experiences. Lisa is clearly very knowledgeable about the subject and also has a good experience and examples to support the learning. Overall, a good course which could have been far more difficult to get through!
