Connect 4 Championships in East Anglia raises over £4,600 for Priscilla Bacon Hospice

East Anglia’s first ever Connect 4 Championships, organised by Jarrold Training, has raised over £4,600 for Priscilla Bacon Hospice.

The event, which had over 100 people attend, saw teams of five from companies including Barclays, ABC Accountants, Drayton Insurance, Leathes Prior, and Morgan Sindall, battle it out to be crowned Connect 4 champions. Triumphing was one of the teams from Lovewell Blake.

Susie Jarrold, Managing Director at Jarrold Training, said: “Our Connect 4 Championships were a resounding success, a big congratulations goes to the team from Lovewell Blake who came out on top. We are thrilled to have raised over £4,600 in just one night for such an important local charity. Thank you to everyone who attended and made the night so special.”

Throughout 2023, Jarrold Training is supporting Priscilla Bacon Hospice as part of The 500 Club, a community of local businesses and organisations working together to support each other whilst pledging their support for the charity. Jarrold Training is a Gold member of the 500 Club and has committed to raising £5,000 over 12 months; a target that the team has beaten just four months into the year.

Amy Bramble, Community Fundraising and Marketing Manager at Priscilla Bacon Hospice, said: “The Jarrold Training Connect 4 Championship was incredibly special. The event completely embodied the very spirit of our newly launched 500 Club; it was fantastic fun and there was a lot of support from other 500 Club members – both in the form of assistance in the event preparations and on the night and also by attending the event itself. We’re looking forward to seeing what Jarrold Training and our other members have planned for the rest of the year.”
