There are no pre-requisites to attend this course. However, it is advantageous that candidates wishing to obtain the NEBOSH National Construction Certificate do have an understanding of the basic practical aspects of the construction industry.
It should also be noted that the practical assessment requires students to undertake an inspection of a construction workplace and to prepare an appropriate report.
All unit examinations and the practical assessment must be taken / answered in English only. Therefore to participate in this course, delegates will be required to read, write, speak and understand English. For example, delegates should be able to read and understand conversational and business English.
NEBOSH recommends that delegates undertaking this qualification should reach a minimum standard of English equivalent to an International English Language Testing System score of 6.0 or higher in IELTS tests.
Delegates will need to pass unit NGC1*, NCC1 & NCC2 within a five year period to achieve the overall NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety qualification.
* Unit NG1 is not covered in this course.
