What is Workplace Sexual Harassment? – For Employees

Course duration 1 hour

Course overview

Employee Workshop - What is workplace harassment and how can we prevent it?

The statutory duty imposed on employers to prevent sexual harassment in the workplace requires employers to train all staff on what sexual harassment is and how to prevent it as well as how to raise complaints if it does occur.

This 1 hour workshop hosted by an experienced employment lawyer and trainer from Birketts  focuses on what the new duty means for staff. It will cover:

  • Understanding the definition of sexual harassment
  • Focus on some lesser identifiable examples of harassment (e.g. overheard comments) and how different contexts can mean a different interpretation of the same facts
  • The difference between workplace banter and workplace harassment
  • Individual responsibility for a harassment free culture

A workshop for managers is also available:
