Unit Covered: NG1 This course syllabus has been updated in September 2019. If you are studying the previous syllabus (2014) or have any questions then please call us on 01603 677107.

The NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health is a qualification designed to help those with health and safety responsibilities – for example, managers, supervisors and employee representatives – to carry out their duties at work more effectively and to protect the organisations for which they work.

Many people take the NEBOSH National General Certificate course as a first step in a career in health and safety as it provides a valuable overview, and is a sound basis for further professional study.

For this qualification you should plan your study around 29 taught hours and approximately 20 hours of private study and background reading.

Please refer to the full NEBOSH Syllabus Guide for more details.

This unit (NG1) also forms part of the NEBOSH Fire and NEBOSH Construction qualifications.
