This qualification is predominantly for qualified first aiders who have a specific interest or a responsibility at work, or in voluntary and community activities, to be able to provide first aid to people they are caring for when dealing with an emergency.
The objective of the qualification is to benefit Learners by preparing them to deal with a range of first aid situations.
It is designed to help maintain skills and keep up to date with any changes to first aid procedures.
Learners must be able to perform practical tasks at floor level. It is recommended that Learners have a minimum of Level 1 in literacy and numeracy or equivalent.
Due to the practical nature of this course, Learners should wear appropriate clothing and footwear, e.g. trousers and flat footwear.
This qualification is assessed by continuous observation by the trainer, a practical assessment and a written multiple choice question paper at the end of the course.
A Qualsafe accredited Level 3 Refresher certificate will be issued when delegates have completed and passed the course.
The course runs from 9.00 am through to 1.00 pm.
You will learn in a relaxed environment with a small group of people. A specialist tutor will guide and encourage you through all the learning necessary to develop your skills and questions are always welcome.
