The ILM Level 5 qualifications in management have been specially designed to give practising or aspiring middle managers a solid foundation in their formal development in this role.

The Award in Management is a concise qualification aimed at developing basic middle management skills and knowledge. The mandatory unit, 'Understanding the management role', examines organisational structure and function, the roles and responsibilities of managers and the effect of communication and interpersonal skills on managerial performance.

ILM Level 5 Assessment Units

  • M4.01 - Understanding the Management Role
  • M5.05 - Leading Innovation and Change
  • M5.19 - Managing Meetings

Five reasons for using this course

  • Do you feel that your management style sometimes fails to motivate others in a rapidly changing environment?
  • Do you struggle with balancing the demands of your work with other areas of your life?
  • Are you frustrated that the people around you are not fully on board with your vision of success?
  • Do you worry that without your continued vigilance, there are some important customer-centred activities that are slipping through the net?
  • Do you wish your people would take full responsibility for achieving results instead of looking to you for ongoing guidance and control?

If the answer is "yes" to any of the above questions you will find that the Drive course provides solutions to these and many other issues that exercise today's director and senior manager.

Those who have experienced Drive in the past have gained lasting benefits from improved performance in thinking, communicating and having an inspirational view of the future.  The ultimate delivery is personal fulfilment and business profit.
