Course Aims:
This course consists of three days of training that focuses on the new features available in SQL Server. You will learn how to install SQL Server; use the SQL Server client tools to administer databases and create database applications; use SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) to import, export, and transform data; use SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) to create dynamic database reports; perform intelligent and complex queries using SQL Server Full-Text Search (SSFTS). You will also learn how to create international database applications; integrate XML with a database; monitor and improve database and server performance; and optimize data availability for an environment.
This course also includes an introduction to using SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) to create and manage data warehouse and implement data mining and discusses in detail the new security concepts available in SQL Server. A multitude of new programmability features are covered including integration of the .NET Common Language Runtime (CLR).
