LandSkills Funding

 

LandSkills East has been set up to provide rural businesses with improved access to skills and training courses in the region.

LandSkills East is supported by the Rural Development Programme for England by EEDA, Defra and the EU, co-ordinated by Lantra and managed by the Rural Enterprise Hub and Easton College in partnership with Norfolk County Council.

Landskills

To be eligible:

  • Your organisation must be based in Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire and either:
    • be involved in one of the key areas of agriculture, horticulture, rural tourism.
    • or employ 10 or fewer employees, based in a rural location, in any industry
    • or earn 50% or more of your income from the agriculture industry

LandSkills is aimed at:

  • ANY business employeing 10 or fewer people and not based in a town or city
  • Farmers and growers
  • Agricultural contractors
  • Farm employees (including migrant workers)
  • Small scale food businesses
  • Young men and women entering farming
  • People engaged in an economic activity relating to rural crafts, heritage skills

Key Industry sectors:

  • Livestock - beef, dairy, sheep, pigs and poultry
  • Arable and non-food crops
  • Production Horticulture
  • Food - In relation to supply chain
  • Rural Craft and Heritage Skills
