What time do courses start and finish?
Business Skills and IT courses run between 9:30 and 16:30, but we ask people to arrive a bit earlier to allow for registration and to relax with a drink for a few minutes before training starts.
Management courses are different in that they are half day sessions usually running from 9:00 to 12:30 over several weeks.

Do I need to bring anything?
We provide everything needed for the course, including refreshments before the course starts, morning break, lunch and afternoon break. Pads and pens are provided along with course notes on a CD. Which postcode should I use for Sat Nav?
Use NR3 1TS, that's not the one for our postal address! The car park is accessed via Gilders Way, the same turn off used for Greens Health and Fitness Club. Google's satellite imagery is very out of date so looks a bit misleading.

Car parking
We have ample free car parking for people attending our courses. The car park is accessed via Gilders Way, the same turning used for Greens Health and Fitness Club off Barrack Street. Use the postcode NR3 1TS if using Google Maps (other Internet maps are available) for directions. Google's satellite imagery is very out of date so looks a bit misleading. We have dark blue Jarrold signs, pointing you in the right direction.

Is lunch included?
Absolutely. Our regular customers really look forward to the very tasty 2 course lunch in the fantastic Refectory at Norwich Catherdral. When you arrive you will be given a menu and advised of the soup and any 'specials' for that day, the trainer will then take your order before starting the course.
Our lunch venue is approximately a 10 minute walk away. If you require lunch to be provided on-site, this can be arranged.
Return to questions
Are refreshments available / included?
Yes to both. We provide hot and cold drinks along with biscuits to get you through until lunch time! On your arrival, you can relax in our refreshment room, catch up on the BBC news and help yourself to a hot or cold drink. Our courses have breaks at around 11am and 3pm, giving your eyes a rest from the screen and a drink to help you along the way.
Return to questions
Can you cater for special dietary requirements?
Yes. Our normal lunch venue (The Refectory at Norwich Cathedral) is very good with special requests as their food is made fresh on the day, however we ask for advance notice of any special requirements, just to be sure.

What should I wear?
Anything you feel comfortable in! Many people do wear suits or whatever is normally expected at their place of work, however a more casual approach is fine. The main thing is feeling comfortable during training.
Return to questions
How many other people will be on the course?
We limit our IT courses to 8, or even 6 people for certain courses and our Management and Business Skills courses are limited to 12 people. Occasionally we have to cancel a course, but if at all possible we will run a course, even with low numbers.
Return to questions
Are the courses accredited?
Some of our Management courses carry accreditation with the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) and our Health & Safety courses are IOSH accredited. For all our other courses, a Jarrold Training certificate of attendance is provided.

Do you offer training needs analysis?
Yes we do. It tends to be something we offer to groups of people from the same company. If an individual is unsure which level of a course is appropriate or even which course our trainers are always happy to have a phone conversation to make sure you choose the best course for you.

Can you run courses anywhere else?
Yes we can. We often run training courses at our customers' sites throughout East Anglia and courses can also be arranged at a suitable hotels if you don't have training facilities.
